HUGE SUCCESS – 1st Annual Garden Ice Cream Social & Fundraiser

Ice Cream, Raffle Prizes, Music, Balloons and most importantly, a beautiful, refreshed Gateway Garden to wander through and enjoy!! We had a warm sunny day with some cold and sweet ‘free’ ice cream in hand, chatting with 100+ of your other NHCA neighbors, friends and garden partners. Local residents present were from Hiller, Parkwoods and Alvarado Road, along with other NHCA neighborhoods, plus local Oakland officials and our garden partners, i.e., Brightview Landscape.

If you were not able to attend our event or did attend and did not pick up a donation envelope, it is never too late! We are a volunteer organization funded with your local contributions to support the maintenance at both the Gateway Garden and Firestorm Garden on each end of the Hiller Highlands. These community gardens are our treasures that can only be preserved with your contributions.

Please go to the NHCA web site at www.northhillscommunity.org and click on the donation link in the upper right-hand corner to donate and show your support to keep our gardens flourishing.

NHCA Residents –

Please join us for our first annual garden committee Ice Cream Social and Fundraiser at Gateway Garden & Pavilion on Aug 20th from 1-4 pm. This year we have embarked on a complete refresh of both the Gateway Garden & Pavilion and Memorial Firestorm Garden so we would like to show the NHCA community the transformation, explain our future plans and say ‘thank you’ to our volunteers and partners in this effort. See you on the 20th!
