As of January 2018, the responsibility for the preservation and care of both the Firestorm Memorial Garden and the Gateway Emergency Preparedness Exhibit Center will fall to the North Hills Community Association. Since these gardens are not just oases of beauty, but of education essential to the safety of the North Hills neighborhood, our new responsibility for them is hugely important.

Please read below to learn ways you can help sustain these lovely and important gardens.

How You Can Help our Gardens

Volunteer!

The North Hills Garden Committee offers fun volunteer opportunities for avid gardeners, for garden designers and builders, and for anyone interested in learning such skills while meeting new, interesting people. Volunteers typically come from North Hills, corporations, community organizations, local schools, and churches. However, we have had volunteers from all corners of the globe.

Individual volunteers may work on their own schedule weeding and doing general maintenance. Others who prefer the camaraderie of a group can check the Calendar for Events, or contact Hillary Conlon, NHCA Garden Chair, at hillaryconlon@gmail.com.

Donate!

Financial contributions are always welcome to help fund plant materials, irrigation supplies, monitoring, ongoing maintenance, and repairs. All contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law. Consult your tax adviser for specifics.
