Oakland’s Acting Police Chief Darren Allison and Captain Chris Bolton will attend the NHCA Public Safety Meeting on Thursday February 27, 2020, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Meeting location: Montclair First Presbyterian Church, 5701 Thornhill Drive, Oakland
The Chief and Captain will address local and city-wide crimes. Why the uptick in auto break-ins? Is there anything that can be done? Why is OPD understaffed? How have statistics helped “informed” policing? What is the progress of the “Negotiated Settlement Agreement” with the Federal Government? Can civilian volunteers be utilized to get sworn officers out from behind a desk?
