Fred Booker, NHCA Garden chair, nurtured these wonderful California native trees from seed. He planted 5 and you can see them in cages with a bright red ribbon. Per google, they could flower in as soon as 3 years, and after 10-15 years be over 15’. They can grow to about 35’ tall. It is a very attractive pollinator; bees love the sweet flowers. Along with oaks that Fred has caged, these will provide shade and help reduce the amount of weed cover. One gorgeous big healthy oak is a star tree in this area. Walk, ride or drive by to take a look!
Note the mowed grasses/weeds. NHCA dipped into our treasury, which is sparse. Please please please donate on our website, which very easy.
We are all part of the solution in making our neighborhood more fire safe!!!!
