In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Garber Park Stewards, along with NHCA neighbors and the Claremont Resort and Club, joined forces for a major Garber Park Clean up on Jan. 19!  About 35 volunteers total, including several families with grade school kids ,helped fill a 20 yard dumpster set up on Claremont Ave. Google estimates a 20 yd dumpster could hold 2-3 tons of wood material!  3 truckloads of Euc debris were taken down from the Alvarado entrance to Garber and another 3 truckloads of dead pine debris was hauled out from the Rispin entrance to the park to the dumpster. The Harwood creek rivulet was cleared and lots of sprouting thistle was pulled.  Afterward the Claremont treated us to yummy sandos and a merry time was had by all!

Internally, many Claremont employees also had a clean up day of their grounds as well as with their immediate perimeter properties and gathered hundreds of pounds of trash and debris!

Thank you ALL for a gratifying day of unity and good works!
